Achieve prosperity and success in business and life when you master this one thing.
And it’s this one thing that Apple, Amazon, Starbucks, Disney, and Google do. And do well.
What is this one thing, you ask?
You achieve prosperity and success when you provide pain relief for your customers’ headaches.
And trust me, I should know.
I launched my first company right out of my MBA program with no money, experience, or team.
Despite the odds, I built a profitable company that grew into an eight-figure one. My EdTech later morphed into a half-unicorn.
In the beginning, I failed in every way imaginable.
My competition laughed. Friends and family thought I was crazy for turning down six-figure job offers.
But I had the last laugh. I learned the hard way what was never taught in school.
You can achieve prosperity and success by solving other people’s problems.
Is achieving prosperity and success that simple?
Yes, if you know what to do and how to do it.
You become the go-to pain relief for other people’s headaches when you master seven areas.
And by the way, what I reveal in this post is as useful in business as it is in your personal life.
What are these seven areas, you ask?
Keep on reading, and I will reveal everything.
Why The World’s Most Admired Companies Also Achieve Prosperity And Success
A company that people admire is not guaranteed to achieve prosperity and success.
Blackberry, Atari, America Online, and Palm can tell you all about this.
This Fortune article ranks the world’s most admired companies.
Why are Apple, Amazon, Starbucks, Disney, and Google the most admired companies?
Simple.
Each of these companies achieved prosperity and success because they’ve mastered one thing.
And this one thing is to be pain relief for peoples’ headaches.
But, you say, Apple sells phones and computers. Amazon sells all kinds of products. Starbucks sells drinks.
Disney sells movies and theme park experiences. And Google sells advertising.
You’re correct in saying this, but this is not the full story.
Let’s talk about what the world’s most admired companies actually provide. And while we’re at it, we’ll talk about how these companies achieve prosperity and success.

When you visit a theme park or watch a movie, Disney transports you away from your problems, pain, and dull life. In exchange for your pain, Disney gives you and your loved ones Magic Moments TM.
Google is your pain relief for finding what you want on the first click. Google’s straightforward and easy-to-use interface quickly gets you the results you want.

An Up Close And Personal Case Study On The Apple iPhone
Let’s put the theory to the test with an up close and personal case study with my Mother (Hi Mom!).
My Mother is no fool and knew her days on Blackberry were coming to an end.
My Mother asked me for help in selecting her next phone.
For me, it was a no-brainer.
Even though I’m a hardcore Android guy, I put my mother on an iPhone.
Why?
The iPhone’s interface and ease-of-use keep things simple for my Mother.
Within minutes, my Mother was smiling as she accessed her information and found new apps.
I could have put my Mother on an Android phone for a fraction of the cost but chose not to.
Why?
My goal is to keep things simple for my Mother. In the process, I prevented the many frustrating technical support calls from my Mother.
I wanted to save time with an easy-to-use phone that got me the results quickly.
What results?
My Mother smiled.
And at the same time, my Mother’s fear of new technology vanished once when she heard her phone was an iPhone.
Apple is a company whose reputation precedes it (even for Android guys like me).
7 Things You Must Master To Achieve Prosperity And Success
Achieve prosperity and success and relieve people’s headaches by mastering seven things.
Every one of the world’s most admired companies has mastered three or more of the seven things.
Would you like to know what are these seven things?
Enter the Prosperity And Success Matrix™.
Before we go further, I have a story for you.
Right out of my MBA program, I was that kid who started an Edtech business with no experience, money, or team.

When I mastered all seven of these areas, success poured in. Massive success.
If I can do it, so can you. Let me reveal how you can achieve prosperity and success when you master these seven areas.
Achieve Prosperity And Success By Keeping Things Simple
French inventor Blaise Pascal agrees:
I have made this longer than usual because I have not had time to make it shorter.
Achieve prosperity and success when you keep things simple.
How does Apple achieve prosperity and success in an over-saturated market?
Apple charges a premium.
People not only pay a premium, but they line up the night before to buy new releases of Apple products.
Why?
Apple keeps things simple.
The user experience across Apple devices is slick and cool. Pictures, songs, and data on your iPhone appear on your iPad and iMac.
Apple is pain relief for integrating your devices and data.
My EdTech company became a profitable eight-figure company by keeping things simple. Read about it here and here.
How?
Schools suffer massive headaches for offering online programs.
Filling the seats with students and keeping them filled is expensive and complicated.
And let’s not forget technical support, hosting, and course conversion.
My EdTech kept things simple.
Schools create content and graduate students.
My EdTech did everything else, including paying for everything.

Achieve Prosperity And Success By Saving People Money
Benjamin Franklin said:
If you would be wealthy, think of saving as well as getting.
Fortunes were made, and empires were built by helping people save money.
Mastering the art of saving money is essential for any startup.
Running your company like cockroach startups by bootstrapping is the key to success. You can read more about that here and here.
Knowing how and where to save people money can help you achieve prosperity and success. But this is not for the faint of heart.
In the list of the world’s most admired companies, only two of the top six positions themselves to save you money.
Amazon.
Google.
To achieve prosperity and success, Google gives everything away.
Check out the 116 pages listing Google’s products and services here.
What Google gives away on the front end, like search, maps, YouTube, and Gmail, it makes up for on the back end.
Google’s fortune is from its advertising.
Competing for free is hard.
Amazon started off by selling discounted books and can now write the book on saving money.
And here’s something for you to think about. The founders of Amazon and Google were passionate about solving a painful problem.
Read about passion here.
Saving people money comes from the passion of solving massive problems.
You’ll need more than saving people money to achieve prosperity and success, but this is a good start.
How I Built A Profitable 8 Figure Company By Saving People Money
My EdTech became an 8 figure company and morphed into a half-unicorn.
I was able to achieve prosperity and success because I helped customers save lots of money.
Like Google, my customers paid nothing.
I gave away the marketing, course conversion, hosting, support, and student services.
Revenue sharing of student tuition is where my customers and EdTech made the profits.
When a customer is able to achieve prosperity and success, you can too. It works because it’s a win-win for everyone.
My story would be different if I saved my customers money but didn’t deliver the results.
This is what makes the Prosperity And Success Matrix™ powerful. Each of the seven elements is a great place to start.
When you combine some or all the elements, you now have a powerhouse of a company.
Becoming rich should never be a goal on its own.
But when you do become pain relief for your customers’ headaches, you’ll likely become rich as well.
I write about how you can do this here and here.
That said, you don’t need to master all seven areas.
Starbucks, for example, doesn’t save you money.
Starbucks also doesn’t focus on our next Prosperity and Success Matrix™ element. Saving time.
But Amazon does save you time. A lot of time.
And this is the next topic of our exploration of how you can achieve prosperity and success.
Achieve Prosperity And Success By Saving People Time
Philosopher William Penn said:
Time is what we want most, but what we use worst.
And Penn knew how to use his time. Ever wonder how Pennsylvania got its name? Willian Penn founded PENNsylvania.
Whether a pauper or a billionaire, you have 1,440 precious minutes daily.
Time, and not money, is the currency of the wealthy.
Achieve prosperity and success when you become pain relief for people’s lack of time.
Amazon mastered the art of saving time and providing pain relief for people with no time.
If you’re in the market to buy something, chances are Amazon has it. You’re done with the click of Amazon’s ‘Buy Now’ button.
As if this isn’t convenient enough, Amazon takes saving time to a new level with its Dash button.
You no longer need to be on your smartphone or computer to order your favorite product. With Amazon’s Dash, you push the button, and your product arrives the same day or within two days.
Brilliant!
When it comes to being pain relief for people’s lack of time, Amazon is it.
And speaking of saving time, become pain relief for your own headaches by mastering how to save time.
Read more about this valuable skill in this article.
You too can achieve prosperity and success when you figure out how to save people time.
Achieve Prosperity And Success By Removing The Fear Factor For People
To achieve prosperity and success, master the art of eliminating your customers’ fear.
Fear of what, you ask?
Everything.
Amazon removed the fear of having the hassle of returning something bought online.
Apple removed the fear of not being able to use a complicated, clunky, and ugly-looking device.
Disney removed parents’ fear of their children not having fun. Disney also removed parents’ fear of their children being in threatening environments.
Google removed the fear of wasting time and spending money on services you could use for free.
Starbucks removed the fear of crappy coffee in a sleazy shop. With Starbucks, you indulge yourself in quality coffee in a great environment.
Why is it important for you to remove fear if you want to achieve prosperity and success?
Success guru Tony Robbins is right on the money when he says:
People will do more to avoid pain than they will do to gain pleasure.
My customers feared that their reputations would suffer from an online degree program.
And if a University did go online, there was the fear of spending millions and fail.
It’s human nature to do nothing, even if this means eventual failure, than to take on the unknown.
Figure this out for your customers, and you will achieve prosperity and success.
Think of it this way.
Achieve Prosperity And Success By Getting Results
To achieve prosperity and success, lots of it, you must get results.
Arnold Schwarzenegger says it best:
You can have results or excuses, but not both.
Results on their own are not a guarantee that you’ll achieve prosperity and success.
But if you don’t have results, you have nothing.
Every one of the companies in the Prosperity and Success Matrix™ gets results.
The Prosperity and Success Matrix™ will help you achieve prosperity and success.
But what’s woven throughout each of the seven areas is your journey.
My dear reader, know that your journey is everything. And know that your journey itself is the reward.
Read more about how to enjoy the journey in this article here.
Successful entrepreneurs get results when they enjoy the journey.
And so should you if you want to achieve prosperity and success.
Achieve Prosperity And Success Through Being Easy To Use
Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos calls it as it is when he says:
A company shouldn’t be addicted to being shiny, because shiny doesn’t last.
Shiny doesn’t last, but being easy to use does last.
Amazon’s ‘buy now’ button to your purchases arriving within a day or two is easy to use.
Apple’s products are easy to use. From a gorgeous design to an easy-to-use interface, Apple gets it.
Showing up to Disney’s theme park or movie knowing your kids will smile and laugh is easy for parents.
Type in any question that is on your mind, and Google gives you the answer you’re looking for is easy.
It’s almost too easy when Google predicts the words for your question to make it better.
Knowing that all you have to do is show up at a Starbucks for a few moments of luxury and indulge yourself is easy.
And I built an eight-figure EdTech business by Universities providing their content. That was it.
In return, I provided the students, completion rates, and profits.
My EdTech was easy to use. We removed the headaches for both the Universities and the students.
In return for happy Universities and graduated students lives changed and profits.
Make your offering easy to use so you can achieve prosperity and success.
Achieve Prosperity And Success Through Trust
Here’s an example for you.
An online store has a gizmo you want for a great price.
The website is straightforward, easy to use, and promises delivery in two days.
You’re offered a full money-back guarantee.
Before you buy, you read reviews on the company.
To your horror, you learn that the company doesn’t ship on time.
Returns are impossible. And speaking to an actual person at the company is non-existent.
Still interested in buying this gizmo from the store?
Not a chance.
Trust is everything.
In the above example, every one of the areas in the Prosperity and Success Matrix™ was there, except for trust.
If you don’t have the trust of your customers, you have nothing.
Zig Ziglar says it best:
If people like you, they’ll listen to you, but if they trust you, they’ll do business with you.
Trust is everything if you plan to achieve prosperity and success.
How do you earn trust, you ask?
You do what you say, and you say what you do.
You get results.
Let’s think about Amazon, Apple, Disney, Google, and Starbucks. These are the world’s most admired companies.
Why?
Each of these five companies has earned the trust of their customers.
And you can take that to the bank.
Achieve prosperity and success by earning the trust of your customers.
